You’re in the big leagues now, kid. This job ain’t for the faint of heart. The patio is a special beast and you’ll be expected to tame it and harness its potential. We can seat close to 100 people and MSU tailgate events absolutely pop. off. Not to mention we rock with ArtsFest in the summer and Cider Days in the fall. We hold live music events and as long as the weather is reasonable, the patio fills up first. You’ll be expected to maintain a high level of cleanliness which includes keeping it clear of leaves, trash and debris. You’ll need to maintain the signs and advertisements that are put up by communicating with the general manager when something needs to be replaced or taken down. You’ll run the show but you’ll also be expected to take tables and complete the duties of a server here at Ebbets. See server description for a better understanding of that role. You will be paid more per hour and have a few extra responsibilities like keeping an inventory of liquor and Coca-Cola products as well as paper goods like cups, menus, forks knives, etc. Cash every shift, 21+ Must be able to work nights and weekends.
So you’re a bartender, eh? If so then you probably know it all anyway, but read on future friend, the fun is just beginning. Here at Ebbets Field you’ll serve drinks and food to all walks of life. You’ll need to correctly and appropriately verify age requirements, process payments and maintain a clean working environment. Bartenders can pick up private events that usually rake in the dollars and prove to be the most sought after shifts we offer. You must have a general knowledge in mixology and draft pouring to be eligible for bartending work here and you’ll be invited to partake in various training sessions that we hold throughout the year. You’re the first impression our customers will get! Servers at Ebbets Field work in a fun, fast paced environment where you’ll regularly engage with our guests and make sure their experience here is the best it can be. They’ll come back because of you! You must be able to communicate effectively with customers, bartenders and the kitchen staff to ensure that food and drink come out accurately and in a timely manner. You’ll set our dining areas up and make sure they are kept clean throughout your shift and stock items accordingly in your server station. Our dishwashers do a few things other than just wash dishes. In our dish pit you’ll help prepare food for the kitchen and you’ll typically have a few various tasks per shift to get done in your downtime. Dishwashers must thoroughly clean kitchen and dining dishes and utensils using the proper method made easy by our dishwashing machine. You must keep the dish area free of clutter and maintain organization throughout the shift. Hourly Pay is determined during the interview and we ask that you start here if you have no restaurant experience. 16+ Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Ebbets Field line cooks are held to a high standard of work ethic and attitude. You must be able to remain cool, calm and collected under the pressures of a high volume, short order kitchen. The job is demanding but the rewards are high. You’ll be interviewed and asked about your general knowledge of a kitchen and how it is run. We can teach you everything you need to know about how to work here as long as you’re willing to learn. You’ll prepare food, cook food using our commercial kitchen equipment and plate food for our servers to present to the customer. You must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and keep your utensils and work area clean. Hourly pay is determined during the interview. 18+ Must be able to work nights and weekends.
